The fullness of Christ is everything you could want, ask, desire, or enjoy. He is "all fullness.” All fullness dwells in Him. Do you feel your insufficiency? In Christ, there is all fullness of the Spirit. Do you feel your guilt and condemnation by the Law? In Christ, there is all fullness of pardon. Do you see your unrighteousness and disobedience? In Christ, there is all fullness of righteous obedience. Are you constantly discovering more and more pollution in your flesh? In Christ, there is all fullness of holiness.
Are you experiencing great spiritual weakness? In Christ, there is all fullness of strength. Do you grieve over your ignorance? In Christ, there is all fullness of wisdom sufficient to make you wise unto salvation. Are you fearful, doubting, and cast down? In Christ, there is all fullness of love, security, and mercy. He will not break the bruised reed nor quench the smoking flax. Are you miserable, cast down, and low? Then come to Him who has all fullness of consolation. He gives comfort to the comfortless, raises the downcast, and makes the most despondent joyful. Are you dark, bewildered, and confused? Come to Christ; He has all fullness of light. He will guide you till your days are done. Are you hungering and thirsting for permanent peace? Come to Jesus. He will satisfy you early with His mercy, make you glad, and rejoice all your days. He will abundantly satisfy you with the abundance of His house and make you drink from the river of His pleasures. Are you lost, ruined, and undone? Go to Jesus. In Him, there is all fullness of salvation. He came to seek and save that which was lost. He saves to the very bottom of you, to your very top, even to your uttermost, when you come unto the Father by Him!
In Jesus, there is not "a fullness" but "all fullness.” Nothing outside, but everything inside, Him. All fullness of grace, truth, tenderness, mercy, kindness, love, merit, light, comfort, patience, wisdom, peace, joy, and salvation. All that He is, He is for empty sinners. Marvel at that thought, dear one. For sinners with sins as scarlet and transgressions a crimson hue, He is all fullness.
Come then, poor, needy, grace-panting soul. Come, for all things are ready! Jesus is all fullness! Jesus is exalted as Prince and Savior to give repentance and remission of sins. There is salvation in no other; and all abundance of salvation in Him. Don't give way to despondency. No longer indulge your unbelief. Rise and approach Him; for He kindly calls you.
